Derrame pleural: Uma revisão de literatura sobre diagnóstico e abordagem fisioterapêutica

O derrame pleural (DP) é caracterizado pelo acúmulo anormal de líquido no espaço pleural, comprometendo a expansão pulmonar e associado a diversas patologias, como insuficiência cardíaca, pneumonia e neoplasias. Este estudo teve como objetivo analisar a literatura científica sobre o DP, abordando aspectos fisiopatológicos, diagnósticos e estratégias fisioterapêuticas. Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa realizada a partir de artigos publicados entre 2020 e 2025, que contemplaram critérios laboratoriais, exames de imagem e intervenções fisioterapêuticas. Os resultados mostram que diferenciar transudato de exsudato é essencial para o manejo clínico, sendo necessária a interpretação conjunta de achados clínicos, radiológicos e laboratoriais. A fisioterapia respiratória demonstrou importância na melhora da ventilação pulmonar, expansão torácica, oxigenação e prevenção de complicações, devendo ser aplicada de forma individualizada conforme o estágio do derrame e as condições do paciente. Conclui-se que o DP requer abordagem multidisciplinar e tratamento fisioterapêutico adequado para otimizar o prognóstico.
